A few years ago while living in London, it snowed a few inches for the first time in years. I was fortunate enough to be living along the Thames at the time and wrote a little prose poem about the city. I hope you enjoy and know I have many, many more.

Street Noise, an Original Poem About London
There is something about London that can’t quite be captured by the other great metropoles around the world. During my years aimlessly wandering the quaint streets of Kensington, Notting Hill and Greenwich or the dodgy pubs in Shoreditch, Camden Town and Clapham, I wrote the poem titled Street Noise. Check out this post to read it!
Une Journée Sur La Riviera
This is the third part in an ongoing semi-fictional series inspired by the French Riviera. Read Part 1 HereRead Part 2 Here One morning I woke up and went for a particularly long run into Menton and back. From our flat, I took a swirling road downhill and kept along the train tracks until the … Continue reading Une Journée Sur La Riviera
One Visceral Morning
There are moments that stand out so clearly I remember specifics I cannot fully describe. Like the color of the yard through the chill frosted kitchen window. It looked like it was misty outside though it was clearly just the fog on the window. The sun rising for hours at this point was just starting … Continue reading One Visceral Morning
A Beautiful Day in Paradise
There was something ethereal about the day. It was almost noon but the sky had a strangeness to it. The ancient ceremony was to happen today. Something that had seen lamb, cows and even humans slaughtered in many places of worship in the past. Thankfully, those days were long, long gone. Some still believed it … Continue reading A Beautiful Day in Paradise

I had a few drinks watching football the night before so decided to take my … Continue reading L’automne dans les Alpes-Maritimes
Wake Up
Greenwich, London There are certain places no matter how many times you visit, how much you see, how used to it you become, they still tickle you when you get there. Places where you walk around and find yourself grinning like an idiot but don’t quite understand why. Places that remind you of your family, … Continue reading Wake Up
It’s Time To Stop
I started writing the other day about procrastination and I could not finish it for the life of me… This isn't even a joke, I couldn't write for the life of me. I was halfway done, read it over and thought, “What the hell am I doing right now?” So I scrapped it and immediately … Continue reading It’s Time To Stop
Wherever the Sunshine Falls
Windsor, UK I can still recall days past waking early in the calm, pre-dawn hours. I would tiptoe to the library (or so we called it) and sit with the blinds peeled back just enough to see the dark of our backyard. The sun slowly rising to shine beyond the house, through the evergreens & … Continue reading Wherever the Sunshine Falls
